The Egyptian people's revolution that began on January 25, 2011and the came to the truth following the overthrow of Hosni in the 11th of Februar, due to the Islamic identity of Egyptians and under the influence of Iran's Islamic Revolution led to success of Islamic awakening in Egypt and the rise to power of the Muslim Brotherhood and strongly was welcomed by Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader, and other Iranian officials. But, a year after President Mohamed Morsi, in a strange process with widespread public protests and opposition of political forces of the Brotherhood, it led to a military coup and return to the starting point. The study of reasons of political and social developments of Islamic Awakening that happened in important and influential country such as Egypt is essential for understanding the formation process, the obstacles of continuity, regional and international alignments and differences of Islamic Awakening in other Arabic countries. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the reasons of failure of Islamic Awakening in the first governing experience of the Egyptian Brotherhood's Islamists. Although the Muslim Brotherhood was involved in the final stages of the 2011 revolution, it was not only influential force andin spite of mobility and organization, there was no basic beliefs for change. This article using a descriptive- analytical approach and considering the Huntington's theory seeks to answer the question of: “what reasons has been involved in the failure of Islamic awakening in formation and continuation of government?” According to the results of this research the main reason were the action against the achievements of the Iran's Islamic Revolution and confrontation with Resistance Front, lack of appropriate political- religious theory and passive and exclusive acting in the Muslim Brotherhood movement and misuse of dominant position of the army by international and regional foreign powers, economic problems, including the reasons for the failure of Islamic awakening in Egypt
